Studio 303 - Fran Kaufman is a photographer whose life-long interest in music and fine art  have led to a career photographing jazz and classical musicians. Her monthly feature, A Moment You Missed in the Hothouse Jazz magazine focuses on what goes on  behind-the-scenes

in the jazz world. The website of WBGO radio carries Fran’s photo blog, (www.wbgo.org/photoblog/ ) with  new material  seven days a week. Among others she has photographed this season are classical pianists Marc Andre Hamlin and Till Fellner and jazz Legend Annie Ross. She is the official photographer of the annual Jazz Cruise, a 24/7, week-long jazz jam at sea with the legends of the medium and this year  exhibitions have been mounted at the Brooklyn Academy of Music (BAM) and the gallery at WBGO Radio.
